In the preseason finale clash between the Vancouver Canucks and the Calgary Flames on Friday night, former Kraken defenseman Carson Soucy endured a concerning injury that left fans and teammates holding their breath.

The incident occurred late in the second period when Flames forward Yegor Sherangovich inadvertently pinned Soucy's ankle, leg, or knee in an uncomfortable position that it's not meant to bend. The grimace-inducing moment was a painful sight for everyone on the ice and in the stands.

Following the unfortunate incident, Soucy was forced to leave the game, and regrettably, he did not return for the remainder of the contest. The extent of the injury remains uncertain, but Soucy's health is now a matter of concern for the Canucks as they approach the regular season. Fans and the organization hope for a swift and complete recovery for the talented defenseman.
