Former NHL Player Passes Away in Tragic Accident
Former NHL forward Adam Johnson tragically passed away Saturday night after being cut with a skate while playing a game in England.
The 29 year-old was playing for the Nottingham Panthers in the EIHL.Johnson had spent five years with the Pittsburgh Penguins organization, playing primarily in the AHL for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
Adam Johnson played thirteen NHL games and tallied two points including his first NHL goal for the Penguins.
Johnson was rushed to the hospital after a skate cut him in the neck, where he passed away later on in the night.
