Kraken Third Line Finding Their Scoring Touch

Over the past few games, Dave Hakstol's third line has been more consistent in finding the scoresheet for Seattle.

Ahead of Tuesday's game against the Detroit Red Wings, Hakstol moved Jared McCann to the third line alongside Yanni Gourde and Eeli Tolvanen.

The three forwards had been creating their chances throughout the team's first six games, but were struggling to find the back of the net.

Hakstol emphasized the players needing to simplify their game and to keep doing what they were doing, and eventually the goals would come.

Since then, the third line has been arguably Seattle's most effective line, with McCann scoring two goals in his last three games.

Tolvanen scored his first goal of the season on Saturday with a redirect in front of Panther's goalie Sergei Bobrovsky.

After being picked up on waivers by the Kraken last season, Tolvanen established himself as a welcomed member to the team's top nine, scoring 16 goals, in 48 games with the Kraken.

Going into Monday's game against Tampa Bay, the Kraken will look to their third line to keep the offense coming.
