New team in Utah announces names they have trademarked for the team

News broke last week that the Arizona Coyotes will be heading to Utah next season and rebranding completely.

The owner, Ryan Smith, announced that the team will take it's time choosing a name even if it means starting the season without one. Smith did however say that even though they will be playing in Salt Lake City, the team will have Utah in the name.

Even though they are in no rush to pick a team name, the ownership has filed trademarks for the following names, Utah Mammoth, Utah Ice, Utah Yetis, Utah Venom, Utah Fury, Utah Blizzard, Utah Outlaws and Utah Hockey Club.





Hopefully they do not take too long to find a catchy name before the season, if not we will likely see what happened in the NFL with the Washington Football team and fans will see the Utah Hockey Club.
