Coachella Valley Firebirds forward Shane Wright was injured by an illegal center line hit from Ontario Reign's Hayden Hodgson four minutes into the third period which put an end to his his presence on the ice for the second game of the AHL Pacific Division finals.

Shane Wright has a big night, but doesn't get to see the finish, as Coachella Valley beat Ontario 5-3 in Gm 2 of Div. Finals. Loads of highlights, focus on Kraken prospects here. #SeaKraken @SeattleKraken@TheHockeyNews #FuelTheFire #CVvsONT #CalderCup

Wright had up to that point led an aggressive game boasting 1 goal and two assist leading to the Firebirds 5-3 victory. He returned to the bench momentarily after the hit but was seen leaving the bench before the end of the game. Hopefully, the Seattle Kraken prospect will make a speedy recovery and be back for another crack at the AHL Pacific Division finals.
