The Kraken's very own Philipp Grubauer made 18 saves, allowing team Germany to make an impressive 8-2 lead against Kazakhstan in the IIHF World Tournament.

"Germany secures playoff berth defeating Kazakhstan 8-2 with contribution from JJ Peterka of Buffalo Sabres and Wojciech Stachowiak. Philipp Grubauer of Seattle Kraken with 18 saves."

The Kraken's Grubauer proved instrumental in the win that now places team Germany in second place in group B with a 3-2 record and nine points in the tournament. Fresh from their victory they are facing Poland today and France later next week. Hopefully, the winning streak will continue in Germany's favor with a team that is clearly there to deal any opponent a blow they soon won't forget.
