The Kraken's divisional rivals, the San Jose Sharks, have fired their head coach David Quinn this morning.
Quinn led the Sharks to the worst record in the NHL this season as the team finished 19-54-9. The only positive from the awful record is the Sharks will have 25% chance at landing the first overall pick.🚨 The Sharks fired David Quinn after finishing with an NHL-worst 19-54-9 record this season https://bit.ly/4bba0OQ
The former Sharks coach was the team's bench boss for the last two years in which both years resulted in the Sharks falling well below a .500 winning percentage. Prior to this, he was the head coach of the New York Rangers for 3 season.
Hopefully for the Sharks, they will be able to land the first overall pick in this years draft and with that plus a new head coach, they might be able to start turning things around.
