Seattle Kraken's top defenseman Vince Dunn missed 19 of his final 21 games of the season which helped lead the crack and to missing the playoffs after a disappointing season. During the locker clean out interviews, he gave an update to his injury and rehab to be ready for next season.

The injury occurred on March 4th when Dunn suffered a neck injury when Flames Martin Pospisil through illegal boarding against done which lead him to leave the game and not return for most of the rest of the season. Pospisil was suspended for three games a few days later.
Dunn, has been working quite hard with doctors and other medical staff to help his rehab and prepare for a strong summer so that he will be ready for training camp which will arrive in September.
The Kraken certainly missed his services as he was only able to play 59 games, scoring 11 goals with 35 assists for 46 points was a + 8. This compared to last season where he played 81 games and had 64 points with fourteen goals and was a + 28.
Dunn has three years remaining on his contract which hold the cap hit of $7.35 million AAV.
There's going to be hard questions to be answered with the Kraken as general manager Ron Francis begins his search for his next head coach and key roster decisions that will be made as there will be several prominent unrestricted free agents available this summer. One issue that plagued this team during the season was the lack of the ability to score.
That will be certainly on the priority list for Mr. Francis.
