Fresh off a 2-0 Round 1 sweep of the Tucson Roadrunners, the Wranglers are seeking revenge against the Firebirds. Last year, Coachella Valley eliminated them from the postseason in the Pacific Division Final.

"We've had some good games against them the past couple of years," said Dustin Wolf. "They got the best of us last year and now is the opportunity to give it back to them."

Wolf was an absolute standout in round 1, making an impressive 86 saves out of 88 shots in the two-game victory.
As for Coachella Valley, they had a bit of a break after securing a first-round bye and haven't hit the ice since April 21. They clinched the division's top spot, finishing a solid 11 points ahead of Tucson with a commendable 46-15-6-5 record during the regular season. Last year, the Firebirds had a tough go, falling short in seven games to Hershey in the Calder Cup Final.
When it comes to their head-to-head battles during the regular season, the Wranglers didn't have it easy against Coachella Valley, managing just two wins in eight matchups.
Tonight, the Calgary Wranglers take on the Coachella Valley Firebirds in Game 1 of the best-of-five Pacific Division Semifinal series at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
Series Schedule:
