The Kraken didn't make the playoffs this year, so Seattle has decided to assign young LW prospect, Eduard Šalé to Coachella Valley (AHL) from the Kitchener Rangers(OHL).

The Seattle Kraken have assigned LW Eduard Šalé to Coachella Valley (AHL) from Kitchener (OHL).

The 19-year-old forward was selected in the first round and 20th overall in last years (2023) NHl Entry Draft.

He spent this season developing and playing for the Kitchener Rangers in the OHL. In 24 games he had 8 goals and 10 assists. In the playoffs he was much better, accumulating over a point per game. He had 12 points in 10 games, with 5 goals and 7 assists.
This is a good move for the Kraken, as Šalé can jump right into professional hockey and playoff hockey for that matter. The youngster can get an early jump on his development and show Seattle his potential.
