Thursday's game against the Carolina Hurricanes saw two long-time friends face off against each other.

Seattle's Oliver Bjorkstrand and Carolina's Frederik Andersen both are from the same town in Denmark.

From Herning, Denmark, Bjorkstrand and Andersen have been friends for years off the ice.

Bjorkstrand was disappointed that Andersen was not able to play in their last meeting against each other, but the two of them were able to get their wish Thursday night.

In the first period, Bjorkstrand would get the game's opening goal, with a top-corner shot right above Andersen's shoulder from the slot.

That would not be the last time Bjorkstrand saw the scoresheet, as he would send a long-pass up to Devin Shore to make it 2-0.

When it seemed as though Bjorkstrand had gotten the better of their friendly rivalry, Andersen would shut the door for Carolina.

After making save after save in overtime, Carolina would take the victory, after a stellar performance in the extra frame by Andersen.

This marks the last time the Kraken and Hurricanes play each other this season, so their friendly rivalry will have to wait until next season.
