Statistically, last season was not the best of Philipp Grubauer's career. The 31-year-old goal-tender posted a sub-par .895 save percentage and allowed just under 3 goals per game (2.85 GAA) In 39 games. Grubauer also suited up in 14 playoff games where he was 7-7, with a .903 save percentage and 2.99 GAA.

Despite the tough statistical season, Grubauer still had some shining moments, which are highlighted by the NHL's twitter (X) account.

This is Grubauer's second season with Seattle. The inaugural season for the Kraken was tough as the team was bottom-feeding, finishing 3rd last. Grubauer had a tough year posting the worst winning percentage, GAA and save percentage of his career. Last season, the Kraken turned the tide becoming a playoff team. Grubauer faced injuries which partly led to his tough statistical season.

The Kraken will be hoping for Grubauer to bounce-back with a healthy full season, and bring back his top form such as when he played in Colarado. Grubauer posted outstanding numbers, a 1.95 GAA and a .922 save percentage in 40 games in 2020-21.

Grubauer and the Kraken will begin their journey Oct 10th in Vegas, squaring off against the reigning Stanley Cup Champions.
