NHL makes a release regarding Kraken top prospect Ty Nelson

The NHL posted a video of Kraken prospect, Ty Nelson on their Twitter (X) account yesterday. The video that is captioned "Ty Nelson (@KidNelly89) is an absolute beauty. 😂" and shows clips of Nelson mic'd up at the Kraken's camp.

The 19-year-old was a 3rd round pick in 2022. This past season, Nelson had a monster year for the North Bay Battalion putting him on everyone's radar. Nelson scored 24 times, releasing bombs from the point on a regular basis. Along with goal-scoring, Nelson also showed excellent playmaking, recording 52 assists for 76 points which was 3rd in the OHL.




Nelson is in his second camp with the Kraken, he is looking to impress. In the video, Nelson is directing teammates "Hey! Pick him up" and of course, Nelson showed off that blazing slap shot that is very tough to stop.

Nelson will likely play his 4th OHL season with the North Bay Battalion, but it will be soon where the 5'10 Toronto Native gets his shot in the NHL.
