Looking at the Panthers offense against the Kraken

The Panthers have gone 3-3 to start the year without major pieces of their team in Aaron Ekblad and Brandon Montour.

What is surprising about Florida's start without those two key defensemen is their goals against per game average, they sit 14th in the league, eight spots ahead of Seattle.

While their defense is doing better than initially expected, their offense is in an odd spot.

When looking at their top scorers, it looks dangerous.

Four players on the Panthers are scoring a point per game or better with Sam Reinhart leading the way with seven goals and nine points in just six games.

Beyond their top four guys, the next highest scorer is Carter Verhaeghe, Oliver Ekman-Larsson, and Dmitry Kulikov all tied with three points.

Their goals-for per game rate sits 21st in the NHL which is seven spots ahead of Seattle.

Saturday's game could prove to be more on the defensive side.
