Goaltending Matchup against the Red Wings

Tuesday night's game in Detroit leaves many to believe this could be a potentially high-scoring matchup.

Seattle is currently in a three-way tie for 29th in the NHL for goals against, while Detroit is in a four-way tie for 10th.

In three of their first four games, Detroit allowed 11 goals against the likes of the New Jersey Devils, Tampa Bay Lightning and Pittsburgh Penguins.

Joey Daccord practiced in the starter's crease Tuesday morning and is expected to tend the goal.



Daccord is 1-0-1 for Seattle this season with a .918 save percentage and a 2.40 goals against average.

Last season with Coachella Valley, Daccord went 26-8-3 with a .918 save percentage, earning the backup role for the Kraken out of camp.

In goal for Detroit will be Ville Husso, the 28-year-old Finnish netminder is 3-1 on the season with a save percentage of .901 and allowing 3.04 goals per game.

Starting 56 games for the Red Wings last season, Husso went 26-22-7 with a .896 save percentage and a 3.11 goals against average.

With how often the Kraken shoot the puck, there could be an opening for the offense to take advantage against Husso in tonight's tilt.
