Former Seattle Kraken defenseman Carson Soucy has been a welcomed addition to the Vancouver Canucks roster.

Vancouver is off to a 3-2 record to start the season and are second in goals against for the Pacific Division, only behind the Vegas Golden Knights.

In Saturday's game against the Florida Panthers, Soucy notched his first goal and point in a Canucks sweater.

Soucy signed a three-year $9.75 million contract with the Canucks back in July after helping the Kraken reach the Western Conference Semifinals.

Playing 142 games for Seattle, Soucy had 37 points and was a plus 25 during that time.

Soucy has seen time on Vancouver's third pair alongside newly acquired Mark Freidman while also playing on the team's penalty kill.

His average ice time is sitting at 16:49 with Vancouver, around the same amount of time he saw per game in Seattle.

The Kraken play Soucy and the Canucks three more times this season.
