Today, Sports Radio 93.3 KJR FM, in collaboration with the Seattle Kraken, introduced Al Kinisky as the new color analyst for Seattle Kraken radio broadcasts. Kinisky, with over four decades of hockey experience encompassing playing, coaching, and commentary, joins Everett Fitzhugh and Mike Benton on the Kraken Audio Network for the franchise's third season.

Kinisky, a native of the Vancouver, BC area, has called the Seattle region home for more than 30 years, where he and his family have built their life. His connection to Seattle began in 1989 when he played for the Seattle Thunderbirds after a stint with the Nipawin Hawks in Northern Saskatchewan. During his time with the Thunderbirds, he amassed 83 points (27 goals, 56 assists) in 149 regular-season games. In 1990, he was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 3rd round, 52nd overall.

«I'm thrilled to welcome Al to our team and the Kraken Audio Network,» expressed Everett Fitzhugh, the play-by-play announcer for the Seattle Kraken radio broadcasts. «Al is deeply connected and highly respected in the Seattle hockey community, and I believe he will play a vital role in expanding the love for the Kraken in Seattle, the Pacific Northwest, and beyond.»

Following his retirement from professional play, Kinisky ventured into the tech industry while continuing to engage with hockey by playing, coaching, and serving as the Color Analyst for the Everett Silvertips radio broadcasting team for a decade.

Kraken enthusiasts can tune in to Everett, Al, and Mike throughout the season on Sports Radio 93.3 KJR FM and 950 AM during the preseason.
