The Chicago Blackhawks participated in a prospect showcase in St. Paul. This meant that Connor Bedard would be playing for the first time in a Chicago Blackhawks uniform.

The showcase saw the team play against the St Louis Blues prospects.

The first overall pick has massive hype around him and he did not disappoint.

The Former Regina Pats star scored a hat trick and he did it showcasing all of his world class talent.

His first goal featured his patented toe-drag wrist shot that fools goalies easily. He received the puck at the point and walked in ripping a shot top shelf. This is a goal that we've seen Bedard do on a consistent basis.

His second goal showed off the hands and footwork that Bedard uses so effectively. He receives a puck in the slot, dances his way to the outside then fakes a pass creating a shooting lane where he snipes a shot from a sharp angle glove side.

This type of puck skill-to-footwork is the reason that Canadians everywhere got to see the goal of the tournament against Slovakia.

Bedard's final goal was originally a two-on-three but once Bedard received that puck it was on and off his stick in a second beating the goalie low blocker.

A goal scorers goal that was his third of the night.

If Connor Bedard was hoping to lower his expectations today, he did not do a very good job.

The 18-year-old lived up to every expectation that has been put on him. It is early but Connor Bedard continues to prove every game why he is a star in the making.
