Predators Explore Trade Options for Yaroslav Askarov

The Nashville Predators have been active this summer, including signing Juuse Saros to a long-term contract extension. With Saros secured, top prospect Yaroslav Askarov is now available for trade.
The Predators attempted to trade Askarov for a top-five pick at the NHL Draft in Vegas but couldn't reach an agreement. Askarov, likely to start the season in the AHL, is reportedly unhappy with this situation. Here are three teams that could trade for one of the best goaltending prospects not yet in the NHL:
Seattle Kraken
The Kraken need a 'goaltender of the future.' Although they have Philipp Grubauer and Joey Daccord signed for next season, adding Askarov could push Daccord to the minors. Seattle's success depends on acquiring high-ceiling prospects like Askarov.
San Jose Sharks
With Mackenzie Blackwood and Vitek Vanecek on their roster, the Sharks lack a future star in goal. Askarov, with a .943 save percentage in his two NHL appearances and strong AHL performance, could be the perfect fit. He could join a young core featuring Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith, providing stability for the Sharks' future.
Montreal Canadiens
The Canadiens have prospects that would interest the Predators. Despite their commitment to Samuel Montembeault and the uncertain future of Cayden Primeau, Askarov could be a significant boost to their rebuild. The two teams have already discussed a trade, so talks could resume later this summer.
