Seattle Kraken relieve Head Coach Dave Hakstol of his duties

The Seattle Kraken had a disappointing season this past year after making the playoffs for the 1st time in franchise history the year before. This appears to have cost the Seattle Kraken's first head coach Dave Hakstol his job. The Seattle Kraken has announced that Dave Hakstol is relieved of his duties.

Dave Hakstol was the head coach of the Seattle Kraken first three years as a franchise and finished with a record of 107-112-27. He led the Kraken to their first playoff berth in the 2022-2023 including winning the 1st round of the playoffs as the Kraken was eliminated in the 2nd round of the playoffs that year. With Dave Hakstol now relieved of his duties, the search for the Kraken's 2nd head coach in franchise history will now begin.
