Tij Iginla, son of Hall of Famer Calgary Flames forward Jerome Iginla is expected to go 8th in the 2024 NHL Draft, right where the Kraken is expected to pick.

Under-18 gold medalist Tij Iginla poses with his dad, Jarome, who also knows a thing or two about gold medals. 😏

The NHL hasn't seen the last name Iginla since 2017, when Jarome retired after splitting time between the Colorado Avalanche and Kings. Seven years later, another Iginla might be seen again in an NHL uniform, just this time, it's the Hall of Famers son's Tij.
Tij Iginla had 47 goals and 37 assists for 84 points in 64 games for the Kelowna Rockets.
Standing at 5-foot-11 and 182 pounds, he combines speed and strength to be a threat on the rush. With tenacity along the boards and in front of the net, he extends plays and seeks secondary scoring chances by aggressively firing shots on goal and staying active around the crease.
He is ranked to go in the top 10 but landing around the 8th spot, right where the Kraken is expected to pick. He would be a welcomed and exciting addition to the young Seattle core.
