Kraken Sign 2023 Pick Fisker Mlgaard to 3-Year Deal

The Seattle Kraken have inked their 2023 second-round pick, Oscar Fisker Mlgaard, to a three-year, entry-level contract worth $950K AAV, the team reported on Friday.
The six-foot, 19-year-old center has spent the last two seasons in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) with HV71. During this period, he has shown consistent improvement, going from seven points in 41 games to 21 points in 50 games in the 2023-2024 season. This impressive performance placed him third in points and second in assists among all U20 skaters in the SHL.
Fisker Mlgaard also represented Denmark as an alternate captain in the 2023-24 U20 D1A World Junior Championships, scoring five points in four games. He continued to showcase his talent at the U20 World Junior Championship (WJC), where he added four points in seven games, helping Denmark secure a bronze medal.
In his SHL career, Fisker Mlgaard has amassed 13 goals and 15 assists in 91 games. Prior to his SHL tenure, he played for HV71's U18 and U20 teams, recording 59 points (19 goals, 40 assists) in 62 games from 2021-22 to 2022-23, along with nine points (four goals, five assists) in 15 playoff games.
With the signing of Fisker Mlgaard, the Kraken have successfully secured contracts with all four of their top picks from last year, including Rehkopf, Dragicevic, and first-round pick Eduard alé.
