The Kraken announced this morning that prospect Jacob Melanson has been on fire lately for the Coachella Firebirds in the AHL.
Melanson has points in his last 3 games with the Firebirds as they closed out the season and head into the playoffs.Jacob Melanson has points in three straight games as he had an assist in the Coachella Valley Firebirds 4-3 shootout loss to the San Diego Gulls.
The #Seakraken 2021, 5th round draft pick will be a key piece in the Firebirds bottom 6 in the postseason.

The 21 year-old forward was drafted by the Krakren 131st overall in the 5th round of the 2021 draft from the Acadie-Bathurst Titans of the QMJHL.
Melanson just finished his first season in pro hockey with the Firebirds where he put up 18 in 62 games and was a key part of Coachella's bottom 6 forwards.
After a decent first season in pro hockey, Melanson will surely be only improving from here on out.
