Despite the Seattle Kraken's failure to make the postseason after their Cinderella run the previous year, there were plenty of positives to take away, particularly the standout performance of forward Jared McCann.

McCann emerged as the Kraken's leading goal-scorer, tallying an impressive 29 goals over the course of the 2024 season. His offensive prowess was on full display, as he seamlessly transitioned from his traditional wing position to take on the more demanding role of a center.

In a recent interview, McCann candidly discussed the challenges he faced in adapting to the center position. "Playing center is hard," he admitted, acknowledging the increased responsibilities and workload that come with the territory.

However, McCann's willingness to embrace the challenge and step out of his comfort zone paid dividends. His versatility and adaptability allowed him to thrive in his new role, showcasing his offensive talents while also contributing defensively and on the power play.
