The Seattle Kraken are making waves in the offseason rumor mill, with sources confirming their keen interest in acquiring Carolina Hurricanes forward Martin Necas.

The 25-year-old Czech winger, who tallied an impressive 24 goals and 53 points in 77 games last season, has emerged as a prime target for the Kraken as they look to address their offensive struggles.
After a disappointing 2023-24 campaign that saw them fail to make the playoffs following their Cinderella run the previous year, the Kraken are determined to add more firepower to their lineup. Necas, with his offensive skillset and untapped potential, could be the missing piece to complement their existing core of young talented forwards.
Kraken general manager Ron Francis is rumored to be one of the front-runners in contract negotiations with Necas, as the Hurricanes have confirmed they will not be re-signing the young forward next season. Francis, known for his sharp decision-making, seems to believe that Seattle would be an ideal fit for Necas, providing him with the opportunity to thrive alongside the team's top offensive talents.
As the offseason progresses, all eyes will be on the Kraken and their pursuit of Necas. Should they manage to secure his services, it could signal a significant step forward in their quest to return to the playoffs and establish themselves as a force to be once again reckoned with in Pacific Division.
