The Kraken Have Important Roster Moves To Make

The Seattle Kraken continued their training camp by reassigning six players to the AHL's Coachella Valley Firebirds. This decision came in the wake of a solid preseason victory against the Vancouver Canucks, witnessed by a packed crowd at Climate Pledge Arena. The moves were part of preparations to strengthen the AHL roster for players set to attend the Firebirds' camp.

The six players heading to the AHL are goaltender Jack Lafontaine, forwards Jacob Melanson, Logan Morrison, Tucker Robertson, Ryan Winterton, and defenseman Ville Ottavainen. Importantly, all of them retain the option to start the season in the minor leagues.

Despite these reassignments, the Kraken maintain a substantial roster of 48 players in camp. With three more preseason games on the horizon, competition for roster spots remains fierce. The challenge ahead is to trim the roster to 23 players by the time the regular season begins.
