As we now enter the month of November, the first month of the 2023-24 season has come and gone.

The Seattle Kraken did not have the ideal start to the season as they had hoped for after the success they saw last season.

Seattle's first game of the year came against their expansion rival Vegas Golden Knights in their Stanley Cup banner raising ceremony, which they would fall 4-1.

Their first four games would see Seattle only get one point in the standings with a shootout loss to the St. Louis Blues on October 14th.

After a rough start, Seattle's offense would explode against the Carolina Hurricanes with a seven goal performance, getting their first win of the year on home ice.

A Saturday night tilt against the New York Rangers saw a rare power outage at Climate Pledge arena which delayed portions of the game, ending in a 4-1 loss.

That loss would send the Kraken out on a four game road trip to end the month, with a back and forth overtime thriller against Detroit that saw Jared McCann score the winning goal.

Two straight performances that saw the Kraken give up two goal leads against Carolina and Florida ended in an overtime and regulation loss for Seattle despite Joey Daccord playing phenomenal.

Their last game of the month came against the Tampa Bay Lightning, where the Kraken played more sound overall.

A powerplay goal by Jared McCann in overtime would close out the road trip and month for the Kraken going into November.
