Former NHL forward Adam Johnson tragically passed away Saturday night after being cut with a skate while playing a game in England.

The 29 year-old was playing for the Nottingham Panthers in the EIHL.

Johnson had spent five years with the Pittsburgh Penguins organization, playing primarily in the AHL for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

Adam Johnson played thirteen NHL games and tallied two points including his first NHL goal for the Penguins.
