During the offseason, the Seattle Kraken focused on bolstering their goaltending depth, bringing in 26-year-old Ales Stezka. General manager Ron Francis expressed his confidence in the Czech goaltender, emphasizing his imposing height of 6 feet 4 inches.
As the Seattle Kraken kicked off their full squad training camp, fans had the chance to see the team in action, including new addition Ales Stezka. Standing tall at 6-foot-4, his imposing presence doesn't hinder his movement; instead, Stezka effectively utilizes his size.
Last season with HC Vítkovice in Czechia, Ales Stezka delivered an impressive performance with a 25-14-0 record, a 2.14 goals-against average (GAA), and a .924 save percentage (SV%) in 39 starts. His excellence continued in the playoffs, where he maintained a GAA of 1.24 and a remarkable .960 SV% over 12 games. It appears the Kraken may have found a gem in Stezka.
