A US college hockey player's future in the sport has taken a severe hit as the University of Michigan announced the permanent removal of sophomore defenseman Johnny Druskinis from their team.

The university made it clear that this decision was due to a violation of team rules, though they didn't specify the nature of the violation:

"Johnny Druskinis is no longer on the Michigan Hockey roster, following a violation of team rules." - University of Michigan Hockey

However, it has since emerged that Druskinis was allegedly captured on camera spray-painting swastikas on a Jewish resource center:

"University of Michigan hockey has given Johnny Druskinis the boot after he was caught on camera spray painting swastikas onto the Jewish Resource Center during welcome week. Thank you @umichhockey for creating actual consequences for antisemitism activity on your campus." - Stop Antisemitism on X

Druskinis, aged 20, had played eight games for Michigan last season and recorded two assists.
