The Seattle Kraken's most recent road trip saw them find more offense, but not be able to close their opponents out in regulation.

Great starts to each game was the story of the past four games, with the Kraken allowing their opponents to get back into the game instead of keeping the pressure on.

NHL.com's stats show that the Kraken are 4th in the NHL in goals scored in the first period with 11. Ahead of them are the Dallas Stars, Edmonton Oilers, and Tampa Bay Lightning.

However, the first period is the only frame where the Kraken rank in the top 15 for goals scored.

In the second period, Seattle is 20th in the league in goals scored with 7, tying them with three other teams.

The drop off continues as Seattle ranks 28th in the NHL in third period goals scored with 4.

Seattle has proven to have great starts to the game, but have failed to buckle down and get the extra insurance as the game goes on.
